VISUALAND

visualandVISUALAND seeks to develop and experiment an EFIS class support system for air traffic, focusing on the development of a special module aiming CS-23 aircraft.

The novelty of such a system lies in the fact that it can integrate multiple source data on a single display, where virtual images overlap a form of artificial relief. The data introduced on a 3D auxiliary navigation display will model a synthetic view that will assist the pilot.

VISUALAND will therefore be able to support the pilot in becoming more independent in difficult flight conditions (low visibility, hostile environment, unexpected situations) and will become an essential part of Heads-Up display development.

ASRC’s task within VISUALAND is to theoretically develop such a system and to run lab experiments.
