The world benefits more and more each day from satellite navigation applications; these applications cover more and more new sectors with every day that goes by. It is estimated that, by 2020, the world market of products and services in this field will have reached values of thousands of billions euro.

TANACO mainly seeks to develop the following components: a GNSS means of testing and experimenting, based on GNSS (pieces of equipment that simulate signals sent by navigation satellites), a prototype, GPS-based piece of equipment for complex environment navigation, and a program for assisting complex environment navigation, based on 3D digital modules.

The beneficiaries of TANACO will be both civil and military or security subjects.

ASRC’s task within TANACO is to develop and test the 3D program, as an essential component.
