ASRC will participate to the “First International Conference on Moldavian Risks - from Global to Local Scale” between 16th and 19th of May, 2012.
During the training session of the Geospace project at the beginning of February 2012, the ASRC experts introduced to the participants the 4.0 version of the LEOWorks, as one of the interactive teaching instruments for Geography and Geomatics promoted by the project.
Eduspace launched the Interactive Meteosat application that started in 2009 as a project conducted by ASRC.

Florin Serban
ASRC was founded in 2007 by Florin Serban, who is also Managing Director. He received his Master of Science Degree in Applied Electronics in Laser Physics in 1988. He got his PhD in Optical and Radar Satellite Data Fusion in 2000 from the Technical Military Academy in Bucharest.
From 1988 to 1992 he was an electronics engineer involved in developing switching mode power supplies for laser rangefinders with the Institute of Physics and Technology of Radiation Devices in Bucharest.
From 1992 to 1995 he worked as a scientist in the Remote Sensing Department of the Institute for Optoelectronics in Bucharest being responsible for developing algorithms, techniques and processing chains for various operational applications using remote sensing data.
In 1995 he joined the Romanian Space Agency as a researcher in the field of digital image processing and between 2003 and 2006 he was Chief Technologist.
From 2000 to 2006 he was a consultant for the European Space Agency being responsible with developing LEOWorks - image processing software for educational purposes.
