The law on Romania's Accession Agreement to the European Space Agency (ESA) Convention was officially approved, signed and published on 14th of December.
ASRC was awarded a research contract under the National Plan for Research, Development and Innovation 2007-2013 (PNII) to perform 'Analysis, extensions and applications of the Finite-Volume Particle Method (FVPM)'.
Eduspace launched the Interactive Meteosat application that started in 2009 as a project conducted by ASRC.
As provider of monitoring services, ASRC has a wide experience in satellite images processing and can deliver to decision makers customized solutions for fire affected areas: Moneasa forest, Bihor County and Ohaba-Ponor forest, Hunedoara County.

ASRC is an innovative organization aiming to contribute to a better understanding of the changes that occur in the society and to find solutions to the problems stemming from the social and industrial environment. Founded in January, 2007, ASRC deals with aspects regarding several fields in the likes of Earth Observation, Bioinformatics and Technologies Development.
ASRC consists of scientists and consultants with years of experience in scientific research. Its clients, ranging from private companies to government agencies, are provided with personalized solutions that meet their specific needs.
ASRC follows a visionary strategy for the design of new system intelligence, integrating mathematical models, statistical analysis, signal and image processing with computational sciences for data, processes or phenomena understanding.
ASRC provides flexible, faster or (more) affordable R&D solutions for sophisticated exploration, understanding or control of highly complex systems or natural phenomena.
Priority areas of expertise are: Earth Observation with focus on GMES core and downstream services, Data Fusion, Process and system modeling and simulation, Information processing for communication and understanding, Data and information visualization, virtual reality, Computational fluid dynamics, Computational bio-modelling, Knowledge organization and dissemination methods for education and outreach.
ASRC’s founder and general manager is Florin Serban, PhD. The company’s staff carry out its activities alone or teaming up with national and international institutions.
ASRC is member of C02 Club Romania starting November 2009, a professional association whose aim is to carry out specific activities for reduction of CO2 emissions in atmosphere by capture and geological storage.
